Our story

In Lockdown (feels like a world away now, doesn't it?), I was stuck at home craving fresh bread & pastries but couldn't get to the bakery.

Then it hit me – why not bring the bakery to me?

So I found a local bakery & asked my neighbours if they'd like some fresh sourdough next weekend.

My friend Nic got involved - we put on the cycling kit & started dropping around bundles.

Fast-forward to today and what began as a small act of local love grew into a weekend tradition that's now a weekly staple for 10,000s of Londoners.

Butter & Crust is an excellent motivator to get out of bed every Sunday morning. We have delicious fresh bread and pastries waiting at our door, and they are delicious without fail. The customer service is excellent and I highly recommend this service to everyone I meet in South West London.
